My Story

"Marty" is a handsome tabby domestic short hair rescued by a good Samaritan. This shy but sweet stray would spend most of his time in her yard purring and basking in the sun. She decided he needed a loving home. Unfortunately, Marty tested positive for feline FIV. As this good Samaritan has a cat of her own, she could not keep Marty because feline FIV is contagious to other cats. It is NOT contagious to humans or other species of animals. Marty is shy but is warming to his FOCAS foster-care givers. We think he'll do well in a quiet adult home with no other animals. He needs someone who will let him bond to them in his own time (which we don't think will take too long). The veterinarian says Marty may be 8 years old but cannot be sure. Marty is neutered. If you would like to meet Marty, please call the (B>FOCAS Help Line at (201) 943-4019 and press option #4.
