Azalea

Azalea, Hyacinth, and Leilani came to us as a trio of sickly siblings after being put outside at a young age. While her sisters both have permanent eye cloudiness, Azalea is the luckiest of the bunch in that her eyes are perfectly fine - thank goodness! That makes her the easiest to tell apart from the other three, but she also stands out because of the markings on her noggin, which look like she was on the receiving end of a bad haircut. Azalea used to be the wildest of her siblings. She always had too much to do to just sit still and let us pet her. Now, though, she's sweetened up a lot, especially when she's in her kennel. She'll chirp at us and even roll over to show us her tummy. We think her best friend and roommate, Memphis, has been a mellowing influence on her. Once that door is open, though, she's still out like a shot, though she can be lured back to us with toys. She is very energetic and playful. She loves a good spring toy, catnip mouse, or cat teaser, but her favorite toys are her siblings - she loves to sneak up behind them and pounce. She also likes being up high - we almost always find her on top of a cage, sometimes batting at a kitty inside. Azalea is a smart girl - she knows when it is time to go home, and will strut around in front of her kennel until we let her in. Azalea would love a home with other cats for her to play and cuddle with. She has not been tested with children or dogs. Azalea is estimated to be 1 year old as of November 2023. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. With an approved application, her adoption fee is $37.10.
