My Story

BABBETT came to F2F when her owner was evicted and had no place to go. She sometimes seems to be a grumpy cat and may nip, but she is not really mean. She is nearly 6 years old and has some arthritis in her front leg, perhaps from an old injury. She often has a limp and, on those days, you just need to understand that she is hurting and would appreciate not being fussed with. When BABBETT feels good, she likes having her head scratched and being given some attention. She also will come up to rub against your leg to let you know she wants a little loving, or just into a chair to snuggle a bit. BABBETT also gives hand kisses. She is not crazy about being picked up! On good days, BABBETT loves the laser pointer. But given her arthritis , play time should be short, as she might suffer pain later. BABBETT is a tiny little lady who is soon going to be a senior citizen in the cat world. She needs a guardian who understands the difficulty of living with arthritis and understands that when she hurts, she just wants a comfortable place to lay, in a sunny spot if possible. Oh and maybe a bird feeder outside the window so she can watch the birdies and dream kitty dreams. As noise and confusion scare her, and given her age and achy leg, BABBETT would be best as an only pet and in a quiet home without children, dogs, or other cats. All cats tend to react to scary situations with fight or flight. Given her bad leg, BABBETT usually can't flee, so she bites. There must be someone who would love to dote on this senior kitty. BABBETT would love to spend her days in a sunspot and her evenings with a person who will love and understand her!! Are you her person?
