Bagheera B James

Hi my name is Bagheera and I am a female cat born on 4/4/22. While I am still a "skittish" cat, I am extremely affectionate and communicative when I open up and am continuing to make great progress with my confidence. I am a lap cat (in the making!) and extremely sweet. With time, I'm to the point where I only spook at sudden/aggressive movements and then I calm down and come right back. I've also gotten much better at meeting strangers, and I have the confidence to come out and play and sniff their shoes, etc. which is in stark contrast to only a month ago when I stayed under the bed the whole time. When I am comfortable, I'm obsessed with affection and will meow to communicate that I would like cuddles. I'm not a huge fan of faces getting close to my face, but with time I've grown to let my foster mom lay her head down on me without spooking and will even give nose touches when I'm feeling extra sweet. On top of my need for affection, I also love to play! My favorite toy is the sparkly puff balls and I love to carry them in my mouth and drop them to play with myself! I also love my automatic toy and am starting to like the string feather toys as well, but these still scare me a little bit. I am a good fit for someone who is patient and has lots of love and energy to give me! I'd do best in a somewhat calm environment where I am the most chaotic thing there. I am uneasy of living with other animals but could be a good fit for a younger sibling once I am fully settled into my forever home!
