HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at [email protected] or Carol at [email protected]. --- - Loves to be brushed and he will plop down beside you for brushing and pets - Unsure if he's a lapcat, so he may be one who will just stay close by for loving - A big, sweet loaf that will be a great senior cat for someone looking for a gentle friend to love and care fore - Will be a wonderful friend for a calm, patient person who loves the quiet life just like he does - Can be tentative at first, but once you start petting him, he loves it and will offer his big cheeks for scratches - Has lots of love to give once he has settled into his new home and is ready to live the good life he has always deserved This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources.
