Sometimes we find ourselves with cats that would prefer life in the great outdoors. For these select cats, we have developed a special program to help find them an outdoor home. Cats in our barn cat program typically are ones who are shy/fearful of people and therefore prefer the company of other cats and animals or ones whose habits make them not suitable for indoor life.
While we refer to these cats as “barn cats,” there are many housing options that could provide a safe, happy home for one of these special cats. If you have a working barn, warehouse, or other type of safe, heated outbuilding, there are cats who need you.
Having a barn cat or cats will help keep down the rodent population. The cats will be helping you, while you provide them a safe place to live. And, because these cats are already spayed or neutered, you won’t have to worry about endless litters of kittens appearing!
