Beatnik Harriet

Tiny, Affectionate, Easy-going Beatnik Harriet is built very small and is the perfect size to pick up and cuddle. Her ears are adorably short and round with bobcat tips! She has a BIG purr for such a teeny cat. Often, Beatnik is known to give headbutts for pets and to show her affection. She will press her forehead into your face to get kisses. Beatnik also really likes having her ears and cheeks scratched! She is very easy to hold and would be a perfect cat for a first-time cat owner, as well as a family cat. Beatnik Harriet does well in the kitty room in the shelter with the chaotic boys and their bossy energy, so we think being in a home with other cats could be fine, too. She is very mellow and even-tempered with other cats. Beatnik loves sitting on the window sills and looking outside, and especially likes bird watching. She has a sunny disposition and is looking for a home with sunny window sills and people to love! Beatnik Harriet has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption.
