My Story

Bitsy is a very unique looking cat. She got her name because she is "Itsy Bitsy". When she first came to the shelter we weren't sure if she was a young kitten because of her size or if she was an older cat, but just very petite. Looking at her teeth we determined that Bitsy was an adult and had been through a roug. She was infested with fleas and had hair missing all over her body. We sent her to the vet immediately to determine if her skin was just very sensitive when she was touched or if she was in pain from an internal injury. The vet looked her over and determined that she had a severe skin condition. She was put on a special diet called Hypoallergenic for cats, and she has done incredibly well on that food. Her hair has grown in nicely and she has a beautiful and shiny coat. She still doesn't like to be touched very much as she was in pain for so long it may scare her. With time i believe that Bitsy will come around and be a lovely household pet, she will just need some time to adjust is all. If you would like to meet Bitsy please stop by, she would love the company.
