Blue

Blue is a purebred chinchilla Persian from South Africa. She was brought to the US with her sister, specifically for breeding. Blue never got pregnant, and ended up living alone in a "pregnancy cage for four years. When she came to foster, she had no strength in her back legs, and she didn't know how to play. She was so starved for affection, that even in her terrified state, she was always purring and making biscuits. After many months of work (strength training and socialization), Blue was finally able to jump, and now enjoys the highest places she can access (though she still needs several levels to reach the tops of things, ex: she can't jump from the floor to the counter, but she figured out she can jump from the floor to the barstool, to the counter). While the jumping/strength training was successful, the socialization was only successful with people, and her foster dog sister. She is not compatible with other cats, and therefore, needs to be the ONLY cat in the house. Other than her dislike of other cats, Blue is the sweetest little floof cloud, with the funniest meows, LOVES wet food, catnip (she rolls around in it on the floor, and then eats it off of herself, lol), and her favorite treat is turkey and gravy baby food. She's not phased by clippers, and will allow you to give her a haircut, just not all of it in one sitting! Trimming her nails is a two-person job (mostly because you need one hand to get around all the fur, lol). Blue spends most of her days napping in a sunny window, or chilling in a dark cabinet...yes, a cabinet, lol. It's dark, it's quiet, and has a special kitty entrance, so there's no need to worry about her trying to climb into your cabinets at home. She just wants to be near her human, and get pets, and her favorite places to sleep are on soft pillows/cushions, or blankets. She loves watching Bob's Burgers, and Cartoon Network, and is completely useless if there's a mouse in the house. She doesn't love being held for very long, and HATES being held like a baby, but she will come and sit next to you, or in your lap and make biscuits when you're hanging on the couch watching a movie.
