Meet Bolivar. This fine gentleman shares details of his personal history with his namesake, Simon Bolivar. At first, he had a privileged life with his mom, an artist who adored and appreciated the feline spirit.
Bolivar has come upon hard times after losing his human mom to breast cancer. Her last wishes were that her animals be cared for, but her family members callously disregarded her requests.
After shooting Bolivar's canine brother to death and abandoning him and his feline dove grey sister and orange tabby brother and best friend with no food or water, these cruel and disloyal relatives left without looking back.
Bolivar has the spirit of a champion but the heart of an angel. He's a loving and laid back 12-year old kitty who would make an excellent companion for someone who can return his affection. He is so sweet that the Vet did not have to sedate him to shave off his mats! Bolivar is FIV positive but has no symptoms of the disease. With very little effort from a caregiver, he can lead a healthy life.
Bolivar's mom loved him deeply. She fought valiantly against cancer but lost her battle. If you can find some room in your heart to honor the spirit of this cancer warrior and to open your home to a gentle soul.
