** $50 in pledges to the rescue that pulls ** Bonzai ACCT-A-164659 is a 2-year-old male who came in as a stray on 5/18, with an open wound on his leg; the finder indicated that someone had left him in the street. Bonzai has received treatment for his leg but has also begun experiencing persistent eye discharge. If you can offer him a calm, relaxing, restful environment in which to heal fully, please consider taking him into your care. Medical notes: Examined on 5/18, staff found Bonzai to be friendly, if fearful, despite an open wound on his right hind leg with bloody discharge. He was scheduled for a neuter surgery and a clip & clean the following day. During a recheck on 6/3, staff noted: Wound is healing but is still slightly large. Some pocketing is visible. Healing appropriately. During a recheck on 6/11, staff noted: Wound has made significant healing progress, currently about 3cm long and at narrowest ventral aspect ~5mm wide and at largest dorsal width ~1-1.5cm. Healthy bed of granulation tissue present with no pocketing, and skin is contracting down very nicely. No active discharge, tissue appears to be very healthy. During a recheck on 6/28, staff noted: Moderate blepharatis and serous-purulent ocular discharge; mild to moderate blepharospasm. Ocular discharge has not improved following 7 days of Erythromycin. Recommend changing medication to Tobramycin.
