Buddy

*** Buddy is at the PetSmart Aero adoption center. *** Solid black, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 4/1/21, #19019 Cats: unknown Dogs: unknown Children: unknown, likely fine When Buddy's guardian was going to be out of town for an extended time, she asked a friend to foster him... and then when she returned, she didn't want her Buddy back! Buddy was safe but at the same time, abandoned. His carer reached out to The Rescue House as she could not keep him permanently but wanted him to get the best life possible with a person who will never pull a trick like that and keep his best interests at heart. Buddy has completed his on-the-job training to be a professional lapcat/baker, and job security is of utmost importance to him. His real name should be Cuddle Bug (though Buddy definitely suits him!). All he wants to do is snuggle up next to you while he purrs and bumps his head into your hand. Forget food-motivated, this guy is head-scratch motivated! Buddy's a sucker for chin scratches, too. As a Grade-A biscuit maker, he sets his paws to kneading mode and works hard. He sleeps wherever he has the best vantage point to keep an eye on you, or at the foot of the bed, and he will likely be waiting there for you when you come home. Windows with a view and warm sunbeams are also appreciated. Buddy has his midnight zoomies, like many cats, but scritches win out if you're awake. He is an occasional talker... he's like that coworker who chats when he's got something really juicy to tell you! Buddy does need his scratch pad and post, though he's good about keeping his clawed mayhem to the appropriate spot. He's a sweet and gentle people-focused boy. We don't know what Buddy thinks about other cats, dogs, or children, but he seems to like just about every person he's met to date... especially if they scratch around his ears, mmm. He's a simple man of simple pleasures. Buddy is a true professional: all he asks if to be within 6 feet of you at all times while he continues his endless work at the bakery... that and a steady supply of head scratches. (In case you missed the head-bumping hint!) Will he be your best Best BEST Buddy?
