Chipper

Gentle Chipper, still timid at first around people. He was saved from a yard where I was helping ferals get trapped, fixed and re-released. His mama was very timid so she is now living safely (& now spayed) back in the yard where she is protected and fed but Chipper was friendly so we want him to have a real home with people willing to give him a chance to trust people and to love him.
Chipper is less than a year old, has soft black fur and is very healthy. He uses the scratching post & cardboard scratcher and always uses the litterbox. His ideal home is with someone who understands cats and will work with him to trust people. The new mom or dad also has to give him time to settle in. I don't think he would be good in a home with young kids since I think he would run away and hide from them. He is gentle so he would not scratch children visitors just hid from them at least initially.

Chipper is great with other cats. It is especially hard for kitties like Chipper to be adopted since the don't reach out their paws at adoption events, they just sleep quietly in their cage.
