My Story
9-24-10 - Adopted!.........Pics taken 8-18-10 - NOW SHOWING at the League City Animal Shelter, daily (Tues - Sat)! We're so full in our foster homes, we don't have room left to foster her, so this glamorous kitty is in a cage at the Shelter. She has crystal-blue eyes, and a dramatic, uniquely beautiful coat. Christabel is a bit shy, but likes to be petted, and likes laps, She isn't very active, and we wouldn't call her "playful" - she's more of a calm kitty. So we do NOT recommend her for a home with preschool-age children. They would just make her nervous, and cause her to hide. If you can give her a calm, loving, quiet lap, then HURRY OUT to meet her, soon!.......NOTE: Rescued cats and kittens are exposed to a lot - they need at least one complete Veterinary exam (including fecal), within about a week of adoption. Once determined by a Vet to be healthy enough for vaccinations, they need more than one set of shots - they need boosters, just like a human baby!........For more cat and kitten care information, ask your Vet, or visit with our "Friends of LC Shelter" volunteer Marie, AT the Shelter, on Saturdays. Meanwhile, go to www.healthypet.com, click on Pet Care then Cat Care. Also good, is www.catchannel.com - click on Cat Behavior or Cat Health. For local behavior help, go to www.hspca.org, point to the link Animal Resources, then click on Behavior Information. Here you will find many helpful tips on behavior issues with cats and kittens. They also provide a phone number to call their Animal Behavior Specialists for FREE advice - wow!....For indepth medical information, go to www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/, they are the cat experts!........FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION AND HOW TO ADOPT, GO TO OUR PETFINDER HOMEPAGE AT www.petfinder.com/shelters/TX1363.html
