My Story

This boy LOOKS like a Creampuff - but he's no pushover :) His foster name is actually Sirius, maybe Sirius the Creampuff??? Abandoned or lost, this boy needs a home. Poor baby, wandering a neighborhood in Everett - and being so gorgeous, everyone thought he had a home. Finally it was obvious he had none, because every night without fail he was there in the alley, waiting for dinner. He watched people and came near, but wouldn't come right up to anyone - so he was trapped and taken to the vet for a check up. Fortunately, he is in great health - Sirius is negative for leukemia and FIV, and other than a bad case of fleas he is in good health. At this time, he has been neutered, deflea'd, viral tested and vaccinated. Because Sirius had been on his own for at least 4 months, it was not known how friendly he would be. Well, initially he LOVED his head scratches - rolled on the floor and purred for them. He would come up and rub against my legs, and cry for attention. But it is obvious he has been chased away at times, because sudden movements make him nervous. Sirius started out being fairly aggressive, but after a few weeks of daily attention he is mellowing. Sirius is a very relaxed cat, but at this time is not wanting to be picked up or held. He loves head and shoulder scratches, but after about 5 minutes he starts to get a bit aggressive. I do believe he would settle down with freedom, but because of his tendency still to not trust too easily, he should go to a home with no small children - or older ones if they are not cat savvy. His new people will need to be aware Sirius will take time to fully trust - this is not a squishy lap cat you can just pick up and cuddle - he is an independent thinker who bestows his favors according to HIS wishes, not yours. If you think you would have what it takes to pass this boy's test for a human, feel free to contact Nancy at 360-691-5494, or email [email protected] - and feel free to fill out the Cat Tales adoption questionnaire and send it along!
