Hi my name is Deedee. I was brought to the shelter with my 5 kittens that I had given birth to not a day before. The Lady who brought me to the shelter found one of my babies lying on the cement 6 feet below the car port roof that I had given birth in. The lady realized that I was up there with my other babies and she climbed up inside the ceiling to get me. She brought us to the shelter in a box with some nice blankets and a tiny bit of food. The first people to see me at the shelter rushed us into a room where I was by myself, they were very nice to me, feeding us and keeping us warm with clean blankets. I tried hiding my babies once and the people had to use a saw and cut into the cupboard to get them out. One day shortly after that the people realized that one of my babies was not gaining weight or eating on his own. They called the vet and tried bottle feeding it but unfortunately my baby died. He had been the one that feel from the ceiling. I realized after that they were just there to help us and keep us safe. All my babies have been adopted and are in really good homes with their new families. I am still here at the shelter waiting to find my new home, waiting to find a family that will love and care for me forever.
