Flirt, affectionate but shy with strangers

Flirt is an extremely cuddly, affectionate 2-year-old boy who enjoys being combed, and loves to play - with people he knows and loves. With strangers he will hide in a safe spot and come out to peek at them in an hour or two. When you come to visit, we'll probably make sure he's in a big two level cage so you can pet and interact with him, but you can expect he'll probably be nervous in your initial visit, and for the first week or so in your home. Flirt was captured from a colony of 12 young cats and kittens in a village, with a wonderful caregiver. Although he was quiet shy back then, we kept him rather than return him, as 12 cats were a lot of leave in the care of the person who owned the land. It was a good thing we did -- sadly another neighbor took it upon himself to start trapping neighborhood cats that came onto his property and dropping them in the country, thinking they would be fine in the 'wild.' He agreed to stop, but only two cats remain. Flirt was lucky he had not been returned. After two years living here in our home (not in a cage or colony room, but in the home proper) we discovered what a lover he really is. There is no adoption fee for Flirt, but we will will ask that you purchase him a window shelf so he can look outside, as that is his favorite pastime! He would truly love a catio, as he enjoys the one here, but we realize that isn't an option for a lot of people.
