Groucho

One very cold night I walked outside my house and heard a meow in the darkness. Then the cutest little kitty walked right up to me and started rubbing his head against me. It was like he was meowing to tell me "please take me inside where it is warm". He is around 6 months old and has a perfect black mustache marking so he is called Groucho after Groucho Marx. But he is not grouchy at all. He is friendly and sweet and is very happy to be carried around. He likes to cuddle and sleep in bed with me. Within 24 hours he had made himself completely at home. Even though the resident cats were not particularly happy with him, he still tried to bat at their tails and play with them. He didn't let their unacceptance bother him because he had exploring to do. When he met a small, friendly dog, they got along well and will probably become good pals soon. He is still a little cautious of the bigger, very active dog. But he is very self-assured and should be fine with any cats and dogs who are nice to him. He does something very unusual when he is being petted. He kneads his feet up and down and then he sucks on his leg like he is nursing. This happens sometimes when a kitten is taken away from his mama too soon. Groucho is looking for someone to “baby” him and give him lots of extra special care and attention. P>Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Petco on Bay Area Boulevard (at Space Center.) We also show animals on the first and third Sundays of the month at Petsmart across from Baybrook mall. The adoption fee starts at $95. All cats are tested for FIV and Leukemia, fully vaccinated, fixed, dewormed, and defleaed. All cats are also microchipped.
