We want Jed to have a great life in his retirement home. We don't know how much he can see. He didn't respond to vision tests and we thought at first that he is blind, so our vet suggested that he live on one floor to keep life simple for him. Well, we're happy to say that he didn't take to being confined to one floor for very long. He runs up and down stairs, jumps on the couch, and does everything the other cats in his foster home can do. He is fine with other cats. He has a great appetite, uses his litter without fault, and can purr up a storm. He's neutered and declawed. He's a surprisingly small cat who has more spirit than another ten cats put together.
It's hard to tell his age, particularly since he came to us in such poor condition, but he could be 12-15 years old. Because he did so well on his blood tests, we believe he has a few good years to enjoy and are looking for a special adopter who will cherish and look after him through his retirement. It would be great for him to live with people who perhaps have another laid-back cat, or who are home a lot and can give Jed a lot of love and affection that he craves. Jed is one of those cats who is completely accepting and loving despite what's happened to him. He truly is a rare find. If you have a space in your heart for a senior boy who needs a great retirement home, please consider Jed. If you think you're that special person we'd love to hear from you!
We're delighted to say that Jed has gone home! He joins former Abandoned Cats Spicy and Eldon, who live with wonderful cat lovers Leslie, Laurie and Stephanie. We wish everyone a long happy life together. Jed truly was a favourite and will be missed in our program. :-)
