My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. BOTTLE BABIES! Meet Karen Smith and Gretchen Weiners! Our bottle babies are finally ready for adoption! 4 babies who were just a few days old were dropped off at one of our foster homes without any warning - someone had found them at a factory and the workers there were threatening to drown them. These 4 babies were lovingly bottle fed around the clock for weeks and beat all the odds! They are all SO incredibly friendly, affectionate and loving. They are the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. They love attention and exploring new places. Karen and Gretchen are tuxedo sisters and absolute best friends! We are looking for a home where they can be adopted together! They are goofy social butterflies! They want love and affection from their humans in between playing and exploring and also enjoy drive-by pets and chin scritches. These two kittens will be ready to go home in about a week or so when they are 8 weeks old! They will make a wonderful addition to your home! These kittens will need to be spayed/neutered when they are big enough. They are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application' at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms Adoption fee is: $200 total for the pair Can't adopt? Consider donating! We are in need of cat food, litter, and enrichment items for the kitties in our care! If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as 'available for adoption', that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up 'curb side'. Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. * DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption: Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)Distemper vaccinationSNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart wormBroad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
