My Story

Hi! My name is Kelsie, and I’m the boss! There is really no other way to say it. I am two years young, and came from a hoarding situation where I was living with approximately 50 other cats and kittens. No one (including me) knows how many of the kittens were mine. To survive, I became a strong and independent feline, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I was pregnant when I was rescued, and had one single kitten a few days later. Naturally, I was very protective of her, and thankfully my foster mom gave me a lot of space to raise her. Now that she is grown and out of the house, I’m ready to focus on me. As I gave birth on Super Bowl Sunday, I was named after the Kelce brothers. This could not be a more fitting name, especially since Travis is dating another strong, independent female like me! I’m a big “swiftie” and have a lot of respect for how she doesn’t let anyone tell her what kind of woman to be. I am the same way. I am my own cat; proud of my strength and independence. I enjoy being around other cats, especially males - just like Tay Tay! I would love to be welcomed into a family with a brother or two, but I could also thrive as an only cat as well. I like to sing - just like Taylor. In learning how to be a domestic cat I have had a lot of success in getting my foster mom’s attention through song. As is fit for a queen, my foster mom always responds quickly with cuddles. I love to flop around and gossip with her about the boys in the house. We listen to Taylor Swift songs together, and have recently started writing our own songs about the boys who have wronged us. I am small but mighty. My confidence sometimes intimidates my foster siblings. All it takes is one look from me, and they immediately stop whatever annoying thing they are doing. I am not aggressive, though. I just run a tight ship, and expect respect and manners from my roommates. For this reason, I don’t think I would like young children, as they can be rambunctious and don’t always respect rules and order. I think I could get along with a well-trained lazy dog. Are you a “swiftie” like me? Do you like watching Taylor at the football games? If so, I think we would get along well! Contact Must Love Cats Rescue to schedule a play date so we can talk about our favorite songs!
