Happy Summer! Kitten Season is in full swing again and we need to make room to get Moms and kittens (and older kitties too!) so we can get them fixed and find them homes! Please consider adopting- especially some of our older residents! Remember you save TWO cats lives and make countless more cats & kittens lives better by adopting! Kimchi is domestic short haired brown tabby spayed female, up to date on her shots, around 2 years old and Biryani is domestic medium haired brown tabby spayed female, up to date on her shots, around 2 years old. These girls are bonded sisters and have to be adopted together. They are available for adoption to be an indoor ONLY cats from Griffith Animal Control/Treasured Friends Rescue in Highland Northwest Indiana. Hey! Psssst...You! Are looking for TWO kitties?? We are glad you looked at us because we want out of here!! We are two sisters that were adopted together as kittens, so we have to stay together. I (Biryani) don't know what I would do without Kimchi. And I (Kimchi) would never want to be without my sister! We can finish each other's meows! Really! We have lots of energy and we love to play & get pets together. We don't want to be in a cage anymore...we want to gooooo!! We had a home and our owner couldn't keep us anymore, so we are a little sad because we ended up at the shelter. We will be happy girls again once we have a new home! Ughhhh..we want to run, play and watch squirrels outside like we used to! We also just want love, pets, wet food and toys! That's it! Our home we had since we were kittens is gone, but we know someone is looking for us and will finally give us our forever home! We are both happy- go- lucky and sweet kitties. We REALLY want our own person (or a family) to love us. We know we aren't kittens anymore and since we have to be adopted together, it might be awhile to get adopted, but we are hoping for a home soon because we don't belong here. Other kitties that were living on the streets need to be here so they can get a home, we are just taking up space for more needy kitties! And we are in our way! Our fosters & volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to get them used to being pet and to show them no one will hurt them. However, when they go to a new home, some kitties will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months.
