Mama Lambie

Mama Lambie is a strong one year old mother cat of 5 kittens who is looking for her forever home. She did an amazing job protecting her babies from dogs under a deck for several weeks. Because of this experience she understandably may take a little extra time to settle into her new home. When we 1st started caring for her she kept her distance but now we can hardly walk without her circling our feet asking for attention. Mama Lambie wears her heart on her sleeve...er...paw. She vocalized loudly, at first. If she gets startled or doesn't like what we are doing she will walk away while telling us all about it. Her vocalizing can be intimidating, especially to someone not well versed in cat behavior but she is proving to be a very affectionate girl who just may need someone to be patient with her in her new environment. Mama Lambie loves to be up high and out of the way and would love a nice sunny window to look outside. Mama Lambie has only known caring for her babies the last few months and has been so busy with that-that she will need to figure out what her new hobbies are. Mama Lambie is staying in a large cat playroom with her kittens in a 2 person household and has had male and female visitors along with children and has interacted well with everyone. She has done well with visits from children aged 3 to 9. She would do best in a home with older children and adults. It is unknown at this time how she does with other cats or dogs. She would prefer a calm household who respects her boundaries and allows her to blossom with gentle encouragement. She would do best with someone willing to learn about her individual needs. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped.
