My Story

Mariah, was born on March 7/08. Her mother is a feral cat and Mariah was born outdoors. Mariah and siblings were taken in as soon as they were weened. She was cleaned up, seen by a vet and vaccinated. She is now a very social, friendly little kitten, living in a foster home with her siblings, and several friendly domestic cats. Mariah is the leader of the group. She even tries to boss the big cats. Mriah will not have to forage for survival, like her mother had to. her mother is too wild to be taken in, but she will be vaccinated, spayed, and given shelter and food outdoors. The colony is one of the fortunate cat groups where caring volunteers are undertaking a trap-neuter-vaccinate release program. ************* Mariah was adopted by a couple who know a great deal about cats. They have been involved in several rescues, and are not afraid to take on challenging cats. They once took in a cat with FIV and cared for him until he became too ill to enjoy life. Mariah will join four other friendly, well cared for cats, and she will even have access to an elevated outdoor cat run which borders on a hedge cats, so that the cats can get fresh air and pretend that they are savage beasts.all the while being safe and secure. Clearly Mariah will be with people who enjoy their pets, and she will have the cat companionship she is used to. The tiny feline, who started out with may strikes against her, has clearly landed on all four paws.
