DESCRIPTION: DSH Red Mackeral Tabby
LOCATION: Foster - Panora, IA
MY STORY:
Martha and her sister, Hazel, and brother, Morty, were tiny kittens trying to survive near a restaurant in a small town. They were in very bad shape by the time they came to our rescue. Eye infections, ear infections, URI, and ringworm: you name it, they had it!
While Morty and Hazel recovered easily, Martha's recovery has been more challenging. She had a horrible eye infection that affected her right eye. It is fine and she can see but the lid is fused to the eye so she can only open it part way. It doesn't cause any pain; her eye is weepy sometimes and needs a warm washcloth to wipe her face. Her other challenge has been a polyp in her left ear. She has had two surgeries and the vet believes the second surgery was successful and removed all of the polyp. She has been receiving ear meds to help with the infection and the vet says it is looking really good. She just had a check-up on 05.16.24 and is ready for adoption.
These kittens, who we call the Triplets because they are almost identical, are the most loving, sweet, playful, and wonderful little kitties you will ever meet. They love each other and if they could stay together, we would be happy to combine an adoption fee to $150 for all three.
They are extremely friendly so would be be fine with children, dogs, and other cats. They love to sleep with you, sometimes in your hair or on your neck. We joke that they have been over-socialized! They are absolutely adorable little gingers and will make wonderful house kitties. They have no issues with the litter box and love their kitty trees and toys.
