Meeko

Meeko came to Front Range Freedom Rescue with his very best friend Zahara. They're a bonded pair and spend their days snuggling and giving each other kisses and it's important to them to stay together. Meeko is a golden retriever packaged inside a bengal body. He LOOKS like a cat...but he snuggles like a dog, has the social personality as a dog, and follows his people around like a dog. If you're looking for an average, independent cat, please continue your search. If you're looking for a companion that will love you fiercely and (please understand we are not exaggerating) stick by your side all the time, then he's perfect for you! At only two years old, he's still full of kitten energy and absolutely loves to play. He's a big boy who needs plenty of space for exercise (think tall, sturdy cat trees to climb, cat shelves, etc)...and also every single snuggle that could possibly be available in the world :) He's had a rough start to life, as his original owner rehomed him, the second owner developed extreme allergies that couldn't be mitigated, and then he ended up in foster care. But we've all heard the saying - third times a charm! He is so incredibly deserving of a loving furever home, and he wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Bengals are generally high-need cats, so he requires someone who's willing to make sure his physical needs are met. Please ensure that thorough research has been done on the breed prior to applying. But aside from that, this guy is going to be the best thing that's ever happened to someone so incredibly lucky. It'll take him next to no time to climb into your lap, give you endless scratchy tongue kitty kisses, and beg to be hugged and hugged some more. Litter box trained. WONDERFUL with both young kids and adults, wonderful with other animals, and a little bit of a picky eater.
