***AT SHELTER***
Mermaid the cat has arrived with a splash!
After a long drive from Quebec, Mermaid the beautiful, gray, tabby girl has arrived at EHS not with Flounder, Sebastian, and Scuttle, but with fellow felines.
As she settles into shelter life, Mermaid is learning that she likes humans and, although a bit shy, she has begun to accept pets with the back- scratcher. Just no pets to the face, please, at least for now. Mermaid gets along well with other cats, so a multi-cat home would suit her just fine. Dogs and small children are still an unknown.
Mermaid has an extra cute short tail. We’re not sure if she was born this way or suffered a trauma early on that healed well. Either way, it certainly is an adorable feature. They say “in a world of fish, be a mermaid” and our Mermaid thinks that applies to cats as well!
Disney’s little mermaid famously sang about wanting to live with humans and we think our gal would sing the same tune. Could Mermaid the cat be the one to become “part of your world?” Why not come by the shelter and find out? Don’t let this little Mermaid slip away…

The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200...or, double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption.
