Mount Shasta

Climb your way over to our shelter and take a peak at our mountain kittens! Meet Mount Shasta, a 4-month-old male Domestic Shorthair. Mount Shasta and its siblings came to the shelter as strays. They were a little shy when they first arrived at the shelter, however they are warming up to people very quickly and are already becoming little purr machines! If you are looking for a kitten that loves to cuddle, these kittens might be the kitten for you! Please remember that Mount Shasta is a kitten and kitten behavior comes with the package. They need lots of toys and places to scratch to learn good scratching habits. They also need patience as they finesse their litter box skills in a new home they are unfamiliar with. They are all currently in the Ellensburg shelter and will ready for adoption soon! If you are interested in adopting this pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known.
