My Story

Meet Mouse. Fitting of his name, it appears Mouse is going to remain extremely small, but he has an enormous personality and the CUTEST underbite. Mouse is a spotted tabby who was born in Pe Ell, WA. He arrived he was 9 weeks old and only 15 ounces. He and his littermates were found outside in early October. He littermates were taken in by those who found them, but Mouse was left outside because he was sick. Another family learned of what happened and rushed to retrieve him. They took him in and did their best to care for him conjunctivitis and upper respiratory infection, but soon after arriving Mouse started having seizures. Mouse experienced a total of four seizures prior to them contacting Critical Care Kitten Coalition. While on the phone with the foster, a small child was heard, which was when it was disclosed that the seizures occurred anytime their one-year-old toddler would approach Mouse, who was kept outside on their porch. By the time Mouse arrived he was malnourished, he had full blown pneumonia, conjunctivitis, he was anemic, dehydrated, and was covered in ringworm. He was a VERY sick little boy. I'm happy to report, Mouse had not had one seizure since arriving here and all his health issues have been resolved, until the day he was neutered. Coming out of anesthesia Mouse experienced at least two seizures until he was given some gabapentin to calm him down. Due to how sick he was, up until mid-January, we thought Mouse was a girl. Mouse really enjoys playing and the company of other kitties his age or at least his size. Due to the experiences, he has had and challenges he's overcome, those interested in Mouse should be prepared for a tougher interview process than normal. He has become the face of this organization and quite popular on my TikTok channel.
