My Story

My name is Nancy and wait until you hear my story! Just a couple of weeks ago my life was in serious danger - I was living in the middle of a war zone in Beirut, Lebanon. It was a frightening and desperate situation. I was among a group of cats who were abandoned and left to fend for ourselves in the city. We were hungry, some of us were injured, and some of us were even found in a dirty garbage pail. But fate intervened and we were spared our grim fate by an international animal rescue team. They brought us to here to this place that people call “Orygone”. What a marvelous place! Now we’re at the CAT kitty camp where there are nice people who give us good food every day and we have places to sleep that are clean and safe. Sure, it was pretty scary at first, but the longer we’re here the more we love it!

You probably want to know a little more about me: Well, everyone here thinks I’m stunning; they talk about my petite size, my gorgeous coloring and especially my bright blue eyes. If you come to meet me I’ll show them to you. Of course I’m a bit shy right now; if you’d been through what I’ve been through you’d be a bit on the cautious side too. But if you spend just a minute with me you’ll see that I warm up quickly and become very affectionate - in fact I may just jump right into your lap so you won’t have to reach so far to pet me!

It was a miraculous turn of events that brought me to this point. It involved a 7,000 trek and a lot of effort by a lot of people. But my journey is not over yet. Now I need some special person to come and adopt me. That’s when I’ll know that my journey has finally come to an end and that I am at last, and forever, home.
