Panther came in as an injured stray that was being fed by a good samaritan. After some time it was realized that his wounds were too much and he needed to come to our shelter for some TLC. After the wound he had was evaluated, he needed to stay with us at the shelter for observation. We had tested him for FIV/Felv and he tested positive for FIV, Feline immunodeficiency virus, similar to HIV in people. Please note this is not effect the life expectancy of any cat infected. He can be sweet but has a little spice to go with him. With Panther having this disease you need to be cautious if you have another cat in the home because it is transferable through blood or he can live just fine with out a partner in crime.
