When he arrived at the shelter, Papaye was terrified. Unable to trust us, he would not approach us. It was several months later that he began to show us his true personality. Although he's a nervous cat requiring extreme gentleness, Papaye is a ball of love. When approached gently, he cuddles and purrs. He's also a gourmand when he feels confident. Given his need for gentleness, Papaye won't be able to cohabit with children or dogs. He can live with cats if they are friendly and don't take up too much space. He doesn't like being handled, but really deserves a chance. He's come such a long way with us, it's incredible. Papaye is an adult cat therefore the adoption fees for him are $290. He is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation within thr first month following adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).
