My Story

Meet Pasadena, a cat who is bringing California vibes all the way to New York City! Pasadena is a smart, curious boy who is shy in new spaces. When he moves into a new home, he takes some time to warm up and feel comfortable with all the new faces. His ideal home would be a quiet one, as he can be startled by sudden noises or movements. Pasadena is a super brave kitty though, and he loves investigating every hiding spot in your home! He's all about finding cozy nooks and crannies to relax in. The way to Pasadena's heart is through tasty treats, and he loves being by your side while he eats wet food. Once he gets to know you, this sweet boy is a big fan of getting pets - he even likes belly rubs! You'll score bonus points if he gets to enjoy his favorite foods at the same time. Pasadena is a playful little guy and especially loves chasing after a laser pointer. We absolutely adore this fantastic feline, and we're excited to see him flourish in a loving, patient home! Adopters should use a slow approach and avoid forced interactions with Pasadena. An Admissions and Placement Specialist can give you tips to help set Pasadena up for success in your home! If your home needs more sunny energy, you should apply to adopt Pasadena! This suggested adoption fee allows the ASPCA to continue our lifesaving work and help even more animals in need. We are grateful for any and all amounts given at the time of adoption.* For more information on adopting from the ASPCA, please visit www.aspca.org/adoptionsteps. **The ASPCA is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the community, the animals in our care and our staff, and we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the COVID-19 crisis as they evolve. As such, the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City is currently closed for in-person visitors. However, we are excited to offer remote adoptions using video conferencing! In-person meet-and-greets are also sometimes available or required for specific animals. Please check out our available cats and dogs above, and if one catches your eye, apply directly for him or her. An ASPCA Matchmaker will let you know if the animal you are interested in adopting is eligible for or requires an in-person meet-and-greet. Please note: Adoption applications are handled in the order they are received and submitting an adoption survey does not constitute a hold or guaranteed adoption. You can expect to receive automated emails updating you on your adoption status as our Matchmakers go through applications. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you find your match!**
