My Story

Meet sweet & petite Patrice! Patrice came to us as a very scared injured stray kitty in June of 2023. She arrived thin, ears full of mites and had a severe eye injury. Patrice ended up having to have an enucleation surgery done, which means she unfortunately had to have her eye removed. After her surgery Patrice perked up, and you could tell she was feeling so much better! With some time, care and lots of love....Patrice has grown to love people and love attention! In just a short period of time Patrice went from a very scared kitty who was not fully trusting of humans, to a cat that will now ask for pets and attention. She will even give headbutts to express her fondness of her humans and the attention they are giving her. Patrice is very grateful for the care and love she has received during her stay here at the shelter, but she is very ready and eager to be adopted into a forever home of her very own and begin the next chapter of her life. It is clear that Patrice has been through a lot in her lifetime. But despite all that she has endured she is a very sweet, gentle and loving soul who is very deserving of a forever home. Patrice's ideal home setting would be a quiet/relaxed household. Given all that she has been through, she does still get scared with a lot of noise & chaos. She would do best in a home without dogs and if she is placed with children they would need to be older (8+). Patrice would love to the only pet so she could soak up all the attention & love but she can also co exist with other laid back/respectful cats. Patrice loves to spend her days napping in her cat bed, playing with her feather/catnip toys and snacking on her wet food. If you are interested in adopting this special girl, please stop by the shelter any day form 12-4pm to meet her. Adoption applications can be found here at the SPCA, on our website, or you can email us for one.
