My Story

To adopt this cat from Black Cat Rescue, please fill out a profile https://blackcatrescue.com/adopt-cat-boston All about Peanut from her foster home! Peanut is an affectionate young cat and loves to be held and snuggled! She is estimated to be between 1-2 years old. Peanut has been an excellent mom to her litter of kittens and now she is ready to find her forever home. PLEASE NOTE - Peanut must go to a home that already has another friendly cat. She's amazing with her humans, but she also settles better with a feline companion in the home. Does the cat enjoy being pet? Yes Does the cat come on your lap? yes Does the cat like to be held? Yes Does the cat sleep in your bed? No because she is not kept in the part of our house to our bedroom. However, if we are to lay down on the cot in their room they will come and snuggle with us Does the cat seek your attention? Yes Does the cat like to play? Peanut will play with the right kind of toy (she loves string) What kinds of sounds does the cat make? At first peanut made a growling sound even though she was happy (she was never aggressive), now she really only lets out a meow once in a while but is starting to purr more these days as well. Does the cat scratch a scratcher? Peanut doesn't seem to use them too much but will stretch her paws out on the floor Does the cat always use the litter box? yes What is the cat's favorite treat? Peanut likes Churu and will also eat meat sticks if they are offered Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? No, other than being playful Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? No Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? No Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? No To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? Peanut might retreat to a hidden spot at first but otherwise does great with new people. Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren't covered by the previous questions? Peanut is a fashionista and is adorable in cute sweaters! In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? Peanut is incredibly sweet and loving. She will make a great companion. What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? None really! When she first arrived with her litter, they were very small and Peanut was protective, but once she settled in and felt safe, she presented no challenges.
