**BONDED PAIR** ***Staff thinks we will be ready by mid July. Pebbles and Bam-Bam spent the first part of their life being raise by their mom in a storage unit lot. They spent time hiding under buildings and watching their mom catch field mice. Once they were caught they quickly learned to enjoy human attention and purr away when they get pets and snuggle into their foster moms lap. Theyre still learning that not all movement and noises are scary though and that they dont have to run and hide everytime. Theyll need time and patience to adjust to their new home and environment. A small and quieter space without hard to reach hiding spaces would be best as they bond with their new family. *** I am not currently at the shelter because I'm growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when Im ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal. Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we arent able to visit while Im in the foster home as its a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!
