Hi there! I am Penelope Hope and I am four years old. If you are dreaming of getting a cat but you are hesitant because you have never owned a cat…well don’t hesitate…I am the cat for you! I will teach you all the things you need to know about being the perfect companion to a cat. Lesson 1: Love me, pet me, cuddle me, and carry me around. I am super affectionate and enjoy nothing more than finding a warm place snuggled up against you. Have you heard only pet a cat on the head and don’t pick them up? Not me! There is nowhere you can’t pet me and I love to be carried or sit on your lap. Lesson 2: Make sure to take time every day to play with me. I am a tiny little cat but I make up for it with a courageous spirit and a large capacity for fun. I really need you to take time to interact with me. Don’t worry, I will make you laugh, and smile, and forget whatever was making your day stressful. Lesson 3: Keep me safe. I am very smart and know what I want. Keep me from getting hurt by making sure I don’t accidentally get into danger through my love of following you anywhere and fearlessly exploring anything. Lesson 4: Help me make friends. My foster Mom had a King Charles Spaniel. I loved my foster brother and we got along great. I will need your patience to introduce me to any new sibling slowly though because I am small and we need to make sure, back to Lesson 3, that I am safe. So come on. Take me home and be my friend.
