Pepper (FCID# 05/21/2024 - 31)

Please meet Pepper - FCID# 05/21/2024 - 35! Adult female, spayed -Black DSH. Sparkly yellow/copper eyes, depending on how the sun hits them. Black cats rock! If you know, you know; if you don't know, then adopt one! Just like other cats, except with black fur. But each one has it's own personality, like every other cat out there. Pepper was found wandering around a N. Wilmington neighborhood. She was super friendl,y asking for love. She was hungry, and her eyes looked awful. They were swollen and sick. The outside definitely wasn't agreeing with her. She weighed a tiny 7.6 lbs. She needed help. Pepper thought "How did I land here?!' When she was brought to Forgotten Cats, it was discovered that she was already spayed!! "At some point someone wanted me, she thought. What did I do wrong?!" And, her new foster mama told her "You did nothing wrong sweet pea, and you are perfect just the way you are." Fast forward a couple weeks in foster home Pepper is so content to lounge around and watch birds. She's always happy to see her people. She loves to be brushed. Loves her treats and hard food. And, she'll share her purrs easily. She doesn't mind being picked up from her right side, but if you try to pick her up on her left side, she sometimes will hiss or nip. It could be an old injury - physical or mental. But, again - we don't know her story. She's probably one of the quietest cats, mostly taking things in. I'll leave it to she hasn't found her voice yet. She can be low-key sassy, in the best possible way, asking for pets or playing with her cat teaser. She's not super inquisitive, like some cats. Meaning she doesn't jump all over counters or get into things she probably shouldn't get into. She's a great companion for someone who likes a quiet, easy-going, little lady. She isn't flashy with her needs. She requires very little. Just lots of pets, love, companionship and, of course, her treats. Pepper is a super sweet, low-key sassy, somewhat playful, beautiful little girl. She is estimated to be 3-4 years old. She would make a great companion to older children and adults. Need love?
