My Story
Percy is a bold, loving, super-social kitten with a scratchy voice, ready purr, excellent manners, kitten energy, an underdeveloped sense of anxiety, and striking coloration.
Percy has big energy and big affection. He loves to be near people, and he checks in regularly by returning to your side while playing or going about his day. He’s very communicative: he wants to tell you everything, in the tiniest, grumpy sounding voice. He’s also very quick to purr, and it’s a full, generous rumble. He loves playing, snuggling, and wet food.
His foster parents think Percy has an underdeveloped sense of anxiety. He’s always the first to check out something new, and he isn’t fearful of new people, sudden noises, car rides, or even the vacuum. He’s loved every adult and kid he’s met, and he adores his foster brother Emmett. He has a tiny jealous streak, but only because he wants to be part of whatever you’re doing.
They also report he very good social skills for his age, and he’s quick to learn. He’s very attuned to people, and plays with no claws and a soft mouth with his kitten foster brother. He’s perfectly litter compliant. He’s quickly learning that when a human pats something with a flat hand (on a surface, stomach, chest) that it’s an invitation, and he likes that. His foster parents whistle two rising tones when they give food or treats, and he’s learning to come to that whistle. He’s still a bit fidgety about toenail clipping but not at all frantic, and he’s not sensitive to having his toes touched. His foster parents pick him up regularly and he loves to be carried around when he’s tuckered out. He’s worn a walking harness with no issue, and his foster parents have taken him on leashed walks in the basement outside his foster room with great success.
He’s indifferent to treats (even squeeze ups!) and dry food, but he loves wet food. His only “enemy” is fasteners—he has it out for buttons, zippers, buckles, drawstrings, and laces of all kinds. He’s easily redirected from most trouble, but keep an eye on your bag straps.
Percy is beautiful on the inside, but his markings and coloration are stunning, too. He’s distinguished from your average grey-and-white tabby by an unusual and striking warm, purple undertone. His splotches are bright white, but not his stripes; they’re a warmer, peachy tone, particularly on his head. His toe pads are a mix of soft pink and lavender purple, sometimes on the same bean. His nose is a perfect bubblegum boop. And he looks like he’s wearing lip liner on his lower lip: it’s distinctly purple!
Percy is a remarkable kitten who’s growing into a loving, bright, remarkable companion cat.
Estimated date of birth is March 2024.

Our Adoptable Kittens ARE NOT FERAL. We take them from the streets at a young age, and some are feral at the time of rescue. However, we spend many hours taming, socializing, and acclimating them to indoor life as a pet cat. They are currently friendly, healthy, and playful kittens who are just waiting for their special someone to take them home. All of our kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated against Distemper, and treated for fleas and other parasites.
