My Story

Petey was found in the Eastern Townships covered in wounds, tar and ticks. He is about 2 years old. Petey is a funny quirky sweetheart, that lived outside alone likely since quite little. When we rescued him, he was covered in scratches, and so thin! Like all banadonned cats, he was not doing well outside. Considering how alone he has been, he was a superhero and adapted very quickly to a home. He's loving and playful, happiest when with his people. He sleeps with his foster mom all night, politely and quietly at the end of the bed. Petey absolutely loves his window perches and cat tree where he chatters at the birds and squirrels. His fosters put up window bird feeders for him and he just loves them. He'll chatter a bit to tell you when he's wanting to play or is ready for some love. He follows his foster family like a shadow. At bedtime he hops up ready for cuddles and sleep. A sweet loving cat that gets more so every day. He has come so far, so fast, he's just awesome. He is clever, and alert and loves to play. He'd be a great candidate for clicker training. Petey needs a family with lots of love to give him, as well as a stimulating environment. His nickname is sweetheart or Peteheart, he's gentle and sweet with so much potential. With the right family he will only continue to flourish to become the lovebug and treasured family pet he was meant to be.
