This girl is a beauty and so sweet. PHOENIX arrived at the shelter mid May 2024 with an estimated age of two years. It was thought that she might be pregnant or had just had kittens recently. As it turns out, she may have just had another litter of kittens, but was already pregnant and it wasn’t really obvious until recently. Thankfully, staff was able to get her in for a spay appointment to prevent one more litter of kittens from being born this year. Her surgery was Wednesday, July 24, 2024. She is being returned to the shelter to recover and will be available immediately for adoption appointments. Because she is already spayed, PHOENIX will be able to go home the same day that she is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking an adult cat carrier with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt PHOENIX. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
