Polar & Jensen - mamababy

Meet mama Polar & her baby, Jensen! These two are going to need a special home.. while baby Jen is just about the sweetest little friendly character you’ll ever meet.. her mama Polar can be a bit of a challenge! Jensen is your typical baby.. she is sweet, affectionate, very loving & playful! She loves balls, running as fast as she her little legs can take her.. & she loves her belly rubbed!! She also absolutely loves her mama., they are very best friends!!! Now mama Polar.. she hasn’t had a great life.. she was living in a small room in an industrial building & her person would spend days gone… so she didn’t get fed regularly. When she was rescued - she was so hungry & thirsty., & her coat was dull. We initially thought she was feral as she wanted no part of being handled. She’d lunge if I got too close. As time has gone on.. she started talking & purring when I’d talk to her. I eventually got up the courage to let her.. & she let me!! She purred & rubbed.. loved it… then she swatted me. I’ve noticed that’s usually her pattern.. if she doesn’t want to be pet, she lets me know.. she’ll growl & give me the look.. & she’ll even huff as if she’s a wild animal. However it she is bright eyed & chatty; & approaches me.. she is telling me she’d like some pets.. then sometimes she’ll follow it with slapping me. She’s an odd kitty! We were originally going to return her to where she came from after she weaned her baby & we got her spayed. It’s hard enough finding homes for very friendly cats but night now… but, this girl truly deserves her own family. Right now she has no reason to trust humans, they haven’t been kind to her. I do think once in a forever home she will make even more progress.. however her adoptive family will have to understand (and accept) that she may not. She nah wash have this edgy hot & cold disposition. I realize her bio probably isn’t one that will reach out & grab you.. but I am hoping someone reads it & may be willing to open their home & heart to this precious duo.
