MEET POLLY! (a.k.a POLLY POCKET for those 90s babies that get this reference) We know that Polly has been listed for adoption before, but we temporarily took her off the list to carefully evaluate her needs and address some of her behaviors. Now that we've gained a deeper understanding of what will help Polly thrive, we can more accurately describe the type of forever home she requires. This gorgeous girl isn’t all looks. Polly has a huge personality! She is super playful. Polly loves toys, especially pop-up cubes, tunnels, and her kitty treadmill! She also loves running water; she will stick her entire head under the running faucet and loves her water fountain. Polly is very sweet, she is a purr machine, loves chin scratches, and she will even gently gaze up at her human, close her eyes, and stick up her nose to give you gentle Eskimo kisses. It’s the sweetest thing. Polly has some unique behaviors that her new owner will need to understand and manage. Polly gets easily overstimulated and will wrap her paws around your arm or leg and put her mouth on you. She doesn’t bite down to cause injury, but it can be uncomfortable and startling. When this happens, staying calm and gently waiting for her to release is the best approach, as pulling an away can make her more insistent. IMPORTANT: Polly must be the only pet in the home. She does NOT get along with other cats or dogs. Even after months of proper and slow introductions. She is dangerous to other cats and even dogs. Polly's new family must understand that she needs a pet-free environment and a patient, cat-savvy owner to truly thrive. Her personality is so big and her affection so intense, she’s all the companion you’ll need. We know we’re looking for a “unicorn” home for this girl but TRUST US, her personality is enough to fill your heart and home all by herself.
