My Story

Pops came into my care after living outside. He loves mouse toys, looking out the window, and cuddling with his best friend Dorian. He has slowly become more open to attention but is still somewhat nervous and doesn't like being picked up. He gets along very well with other cats and is learning how to become a house cat from his bonded buddy Dorian. They must be adopted together. Pops is FIV+ so he has a weakened immune system, but cats with FIV can live for many years without serious symptoms. FIV is hard to transmit, and is most often transmitted by biting; as long as there is no fighting to the point of deep puncture wounds, FIV+ cats can live with other cats that are negative for the virus with minimal risk of transmission. This is especially true for Pops because he's such a lover! Resources on FIV are here: https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/
