My Story
Meet Precious! This beautiful dilute torbie (tabby-tortoiseshell) lady had been attacked at one point and had to have stitches in 2 places on her torso before she ended up with her Blue's Mews foster. She's doing well healthy-wise, but her foster also has other cats, and it seems like Precious would prefer less of a kitty crowd (and might love being the only kitty in the household.) She does very well with her own kittens (Pepperjack, Pepperoni, and Prosciutto) so if you have the space in your heart and home for TWO beautiful ladies, please consider a mother/daughter duo!!
She loves window watching and string toys. Precious is more independent, not so cuddly, but again, the right environment with just 1 or 2 cats would help her open up. She definitely is a cat watcher! She lays in bedroom doorways a lot, keeping track of everyone. She loves head scratches, but not booty scratches or pats, and she likes being brushed with a slick back brush, especially on her head. She'll come and lay down close to you, asking for more.
Our guess is she is still sensitive and anxious because of her prior injuries and experiences, making her not want to have her body touched unless it's in her terms. Over time and with trust, she may decide to accept and even appreciate the additional affection. Precious is the princess, and she deserves a safe home with people who will respect and love her. She's been through trauma and has come out the other side, and through all that she really can be a sweetheart!! She deserves the chance to be a happy and carefree cat.
