My Story

Shadow is a very sweet short haired black kitten with a few almost unnoticeable white hairs on his belly. He was born 9-3-07 and is looking for his new forever home. Shadow is the quietest out of the litter. He loves his cuddle time with his people but also likes to play. Shadow is not really needy in the sense that he does not like to be held and very rarely likes you to pet him. He doesn't try to help at the computer like many cat's do but he loves to climb in the washer and dryer to help you do laundry. He has this toy that has a jingle ball with feathers that hang's from a stick. He always wear's us out when we wiggle it around for him to chase. He is very funny because he pant's...it's not that he is actually tired but he get's so excited about playing with that toy that he pant's for some reason...and he pant's for a good hour after we quit playing with him. He does not like a lot of noise...he may adjust to children but it is recommended that he go to a home with older children. He wants to be a total indoor cat. He will be a great addition to any family. Will it be yours? Shadow came to the Bingham County Humane Society after his Mom snuck into a local residents shed & had her babies. The resident decided to do the right thing by keeping Shadow's family, altering them, and finding good homes for all of them. It quickly became a problem for her husband and grandson who are deathly allergic to kitties. The resident would go out to feed the babies, go back inside, & her family members severe allergies would begin with their eyes swelling shut. Needless to say she called us and we took Shadow, his Mom Princess, and his 3 sisters into foster care. They have all been a joy to watch grow up. When Shadow's Mom came to the Bingham County Humane Society, she was severely malnourished, underweight, and her coat was in horrible condition. Shadow's Mom is so friendly and lovey, we are wondering if Shadow's Mom was someone’s house cat until she went into heat. Perhaps at that point, she was then thrown outside, got pregnant and her people no longer wanted her so they dumped her. She did not let this slow her down much. Shadow's Mom was a fighter, she was able to keep all her babies alive as well as herself and they are all strong, fun loving, rambunctious kitties. She even took on an orphan kitty we were struggling to keep alive. Shadow is to be an indoor only kitty, he will only be adopted to a home that will go outside with him if he shows a desire to go outside. Shadow has been neutered and is current on all his vaccinations until 12-24-08. If you adopt Shadow, you must agree to keep him vaccinated annually (keep in mind his vaccination due date is just before Christmas so you will have to plan ahead to have the money to pay for his annual vaccinations). Please take into consideration before adopting any pet that with owning a pet comes great financial responsibility that you must be prepared for at all times. Shadow is litter box trained & looking for his forever home. If you would like to see Shadow or get more information, please contact the Bingham County Humane Society answering machine at (208)680-3881 and leave a message asking for Shantel's foster Shadow.
