My Story

Come meet Scallion and Shallot, a bonded pair of sisters looking for an active home to join! Although both kitties have many of the same interests, you’ll notice Shallot tends to take the lead on things. Shallot is very playful and regularly active, having the confidence to approach new people and instantly show them her affection. She accepts endless pets and doesn’t mind when you want to pick her up. Shallot will certainly chase a laser pointer or wand around, but she’ll need a scratching post or two to help kick her habit of using furniture. She easily gets along with other cats but hasn’t had the opportunity to meet a dog yet, though given her curious nature, it’s likely she’d give it a try. When not playing with her sister or the toys you wave around, you’ll find Shallot curled up next to Scallion or independently resting on the couch. Her activity level is well-balanced but don’t be totally surprised when she has a case of the zoomies every once in a while. Shallot would love to move into a house with children of any age, alongside her sister of course. Although Scallion is the more timid of the two, she is nothing short of an affectionate, dependent cat once she’s comfortable. In fact, she’ll also join in for a game of chase-the-laser with her sister when she’s feeling playful. When she’s not, Scallion certainly takes her ‘me-time’ seriously, lounging on pillows and furniture around the house. But don’t be completely fooled by her independent downtime as she certainly will find her way onto your shoulders or lap to remind you of her companionship. In exchange, she expects lots of pets and being carried around. Scallion would benefit from readily available scratching posts like her sister, but the laser pointer takes the cake as her favorite game. She does do well with other cats but still, we feel Scallion would be most comfortable in a home with playful children and no other pets, just Shallot.
