Slim Harpo

Slim hwas in my colony for a little under two years. He was never cut out for colony life, but he made it through until better things happened for him. Slim Harpo is a most wonderful former colony cat. Slim Harpo appeared in the colony over eighteen months ago. I told him I had no room for him indoors and few prospects for fosters or adoption, but I would feed and shelter and care for him as long as he trusted me. And he did. I neutered him, eartipped him, provided shelter for him, and even a hot lady cat friend, Addie, to teach him the ropes to surviving outside. He and Addie were inseparable, forming a strong bond after her former mate, Moby, was injured and suffering from kidney failure and had to be euthanized. It was the worst moment of my cat colony when Moby died. Addie latched onto Slim and they were happy for the most part, but after two winters outdoors, it became obvious that Slim had to come inside. Unfortunately, he hurt himself outside and that was when I knew I had to bring him indoors. He is being fostered by Amber and Auggie, but soon needs to find a home. He has all of his shots, and we fundraised recently to do dental work on him. He's now in perfect health, microchipped, and ready to love you like nobody's business.
