Slinky

Meet Slinky! About 6 years old, Slinky was an outdoor cat living in the West Side area of the city with food and shelter up until recently - he was sweet and friendly but timid, mostly unapproachable. His caretaker eventually noticed his eye was swelling up and clouding over, so he was brought inside and taken to the vet where it was determined that eye was already blind and couldn’t be saved, hence the removal. He also had a tumor in his jaw which was also removed. His caretaker was pleasantly surprised by how much his personality changed during his recovery. He wanted attention, and he would give head butts to be petted. He is doing very well with only one eye, and his jaw is completely healed where the tumor was. He’s in very good health, and has a very healthy appetite. Slinky is also neutered and microchipped, up to date on his vaccines. Slinky is an affectionate, sweet, gentle boy that will need time and patience to acclimate to new surroundings. He will do best in a quiet, calm home with no young children and no other pets. where he will be the only kitty. He loves attention and head and cheek rubs. Slinky had a very rough existence living outside. This sweet boy deserves a loving , patient person, that will provide him with his forever home. It might take time for him to warm up and be confident in his new home, but he will make a loving pet.
