SYLVESTER

Sylvester is a 2-and-a-half year old cat who weighed just over 11lbs at intake! 07/05/24 These handsome boys are Sylvester and Kodiak! These two beautiful kitties have arrived at the shelter because they were urinating on the kid's bed. They were seen by the shelter vet and given the clear for adoption. Sylvester's urinalysis came back clean of infection and urinary crystals. While Sylvester and Kodiak were said to get along very well with babies and children, it may be in everyone's best interested if they didn't share their next home with a child. These boys were said to get along very well with the dogs in the home, one of which was even a great dane! They can be shy around strangers but they warm up quickly! In typical kitty fashion, they do tend to scratch, and have been known to scratch the couch on occasion. Make sure they have plenty of appropriate scratching toys to try and mitigate this behavior. As they have spent more time at the shelter, the care staff have noticed that Sylvester and Kodiak do not seem very fond of each other. We would recommend they not go to the same home together, as this may very well be the reason for the inappropriate urination.
